Acoustic Restoration, this guitar was bought from a car boot sale in a terrible condition, it had been re-lacquered badly in a dark stain, stickers were applied and the sides had come away from the top.
I re-glued the sides to the top and began to strip the terrible varnish coating, from beneath emerged one of the most beautiful spruce tops with amazing marquetry banding.
The bridge also had the marquetry work , and once fully stripped and re-finished this guitar today is still one of my most favourite projects.
Unsure of it's origins but it has been suguested that it may have been an early Herman Hauser or Gibson Acoustic.
The tonal qualities and playability of this guitar still today amaze me, it was simply a stunning guitar and I regret the day I sold her.
